He seems like a nice guy, too. :)
I'm tellin' ya; smart people are gonna rule the world. However, we can't forget to add love to the mix. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 says:
Lucky (and blessed) me, I have a smart, cute, funny, sweet, adorable, loving and lovable hubby. :D <3
Girls, go for brains (and kindness) first. Six-pack abs will get boring and wouldn't make a very good pillow. A smart jerk will quickly get irritating and intolerable. So, find a smart, sweet, funny guy (especially one who loves Jesus) and you're all set. *grin*

I'm tellin' ya; smart people are gonna rule the world. However, we can't forget to add love to the mix. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 says:
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Lucky (and blessed) me, I have a smart, cute, funny, sweet, adorable, loving and lovable hubby. :D <3

Hi! This is Amy from THL and my blog MAMAFIED. You asked about my style of parenting..I have to laugh--because I've tried it ALL! (LOL)....EZZO is too darn hard core for me and Attachment Parenting can be too laxed. So I just parent from the heart with prayer from our LORD! I give lots of kisses and hugs, affirmations--but will spank if they: LIE or HURT someone or something intentionally-other than these they get the good ol' stand against the wall (time out)..sitting in a chair was not working..they would sing and have puppet shows with their fingers! After time out they repeat what they have done VERBALLY and apologize. I always say "I forgive you. Let's do it right the next time." We also do behavior jars...good jar/bad jar. This really works well. If you want a great book--Lisa Whelchel: Creative Correction. Just a quick referance guide..with humor, wit and our LORD! ALSO: The Mommy Manual..touching book.
HUGS!
I really enjoy your blog....I'm a follower now;)
Amy
ALSO--I LOVE all aspects of AP--was a BIG advocate for it in LV...started a group with API. It really has made a BIG difference in my children. I wish more moms would use the gentle discipline more often. Many Christians believe in the ROD AND STAFF...well, I was raised hard core and am still bitter. Ezzo made me shiver..sorry. Elizabeth Krueger and The Pearl Family....shiver again. (If you use these as referances please enlighten me.)
We use lots of reassurance and feelings are into play...they may be acting up because of an outside force...I don't believe children intentially are out to get me! AND I don't believe they are crabby bacause they just want to be!
I had a problem with API because time outs just were not working for my oldest...and then API said time outs were not emotionally healthy. SO we implemented the stand against the wall. We do this until he calms himself down enough to talk..other wise it's like talking to an alcoholic-won't get anywhere! Once he's calm we sit on the couch for snuggle talk. It is here I ask him to repeat what he's done and what he could of done differently.
Spanks...well, we have debated this long and hard. We feel that we have to nip lieing in the butt now...or it will take over. A gentle swat..so gentle in fact my son says it tickled once...hmmm. Hurting--they kept hurting the dogs so once again we had to use a quick force.
All in all I can say my kids are very pleasant to be around..and I know it's because of the Breastfeeding /co-sleeping and babywearing! Mostly it's because they have always been loved 100%.
There is a AP Christian moms group on CAFE MOMS--but not on THL....perhaps we should start one?
Many hugs to you;)
